Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business) is the single most important free marketing tool for any local business. It’s the listing that appears when someone searches for your business name or searches for services “near me” on Google. Having a complete, optimized Google Business Profile dramatically increases your visibility in local searches. Fill out every field completely — business category, service area, hours (including holiday hours), attributes, and a detailed business description. Most importantly, actively manage your reviews by responding to every one, positive or negative.

Post updates to your profile regularly using Google’s built-in posting feature. Share offers, events, news, and product updates. These posts appear directly in your listing and signal to Google that your business is active.
